Years 10-12 Parent Daughter Breakfast

The Years 10-12 Parent Daughter Breakfast will be held on Thursday 30 March from 7am until approximately 8.30am.

This morning provides a special opportunity for the parents of daughters in Years 10-12 to get together and mingle with their daughters and friends.  Please join us for a stand-up breakfast outside the Joigny Cafe before a hearing from our guest speaker, Dr Abby Kamalakanthan (Class of 1998) in the Theatre.

Abby is an Associate Director at KPMG Australia in Sydney and the recent Founder of Abby’s Acumen, a mentoring start up for students and young professionals in the Economics, Accounting, Finance and Business sectors. She has previously worked at multinational consulting firms such as AECOM Australia, PwC Australia and Grant Thornton Australia in Brisbane. Abby holds a PhD in Health Economics, a Master of International Economics and Finance, a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Business Management (Information Systems), all from The University of Queensland. In 2016, she was nominated for The University of Queensland Distinguished Young Alumni Award. Abby is also the former President of Young Economists Queensland and a former Executive Director on the Board of the Economic Society of Australia (Queensland). She has given interviews nationally on ABC Radio and for Business Review Weekly (BRW) magazine on important health policy issues. Abby is also a published author. Her book titled “The Supply of General Practitioners in Australia: an Economic Analysis” is available online from all leading international and Australian book retailers.
