Year 11 Business Management – learning in context

On Wednesday 3 August our Year 11 Business Management class took a trip to Di Bella Coffee’s roasting warehouse. There, we were given a tour and a step-by-step run through of the production line that is required to turn coffee beans from Brazil, Jamaica etc into the delicious liquid in your cup.

As we are focusing on marketing this Term, we learnt about how Di Bella Coffee attempts to target multiple groups in the market by introducing products that appeal to different people. Their newest products include coffee pods (for the ‘at home brewers) and liquid coffee concentrate for campers and conferences.

After participating in a coffee making tutorial, ordering a coffee, and learning some very useful information for our assignment, the day was topped off by the opportunity to meet Mr Di Bella himself.
