Want to keep fit and play touch football?
We are looking for all keen touch football players and any girl who is looking to improve their general fitness and touch football skills.
The Stuartholme Touch Football Development Program will be starting in week 2, Term 2 this year.
When: Term 2, Thursday afternoons (3:30–4:30pm)
Who: Year 7-12 Stuartholme students
What: 15 mins fitness, 45 mins skill training and game play.
Why: At the end of the program teams will be selected for the White’s Hill Brisbane Metropolitan Touch Association (BMTA) Competition. To be selected in a Stuartholme Touch team, you DO NOT need to be in the program however, you will learn essential skills and game experience that will be valuable for the Touch Football season.
How: Information session and sign on Thursday 20th April at lunch (more details to come in Student Notices).
Expectations: 2 x unexplained absences = dismissed from program.
Year 11 and 12 students: We will offer to pay for you to complete a coaching course if you want to assist consistently with the program. This would be very useful if you were looking at studying teaching, sports management, exercise science, coaching or other related areas. Having a qualification is also very helpful in gaining part-time employment as a coach at a school or community club!
