Pierre de Coubertin Award 2017

Nominations for this annual award are open to any student in Year 12.

The award, named after the founder of the modern Olympics, promotes the importance of participation in sport and physical activity. It recognises students who demonstrate initiative, teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play through participation in a variety of sports.

The recipient would, through their exemplary attitude and participation in sport, be a valuable role model for the entire school community. The award recipient will receive a certificate signed by Mr John Coates AC, President of the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC), and will have the opportunity to meet Olympians at the official presentation ceremony on Saturday 8 July.

Applicants need to submit a literary or artistic piece of work and have represented the school as a participant in at least three (3) sports in the competitive arena. For further details on the selection process click here.

Applications must be received by April 26

I feel highly confident there are many of you who would be very worthy recipients of this award, so please nominate or come and see me about the nomination process.
