Message from the Principal
Dear Parents, Friends and Caregivers,
As Term 3 comes to a close and our students sit exams and finalise assessments the school has been noticeably quieter. I commend the students in the way they have conducted themselves over this time. Our Year 12 students sat the QCS tests on 29 and 30 August with dignity, inner strength and collegiality. I congratulate them on their calm and purposeful approach. I also thank Shannon Lacey and her team of teachers, who steward the girls individually and collectively to the QCS right of passage.
On 24 and 25 August our Year 12 Drama students performed their annual Senior Production. “A Fish out of Water” was a contemporary and challenging artwork. The intensity of the performances was awe inspiring. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance and commend the students and staff for their hard work and dedication to rehearsals and for all the work behind the scenes to produce such a wonderful performance.
Around 60 fathers and daughters took part in the Father Daughter Lawn Bowls on 1 September. Many thanks to the P&F for organising the event. All proceeds were donated to Prostate Cancer Research and Beyond Blue.
If you are walking through our grounds you will notice new umbrellas which were very kindly purchased by the Stuartholme Ladies Committee. These umbrellas will provide the students with additional shade while relaxing in our beautiful school environment.
Stuartholme is hosting Biannual Alumnae Cup Tennis Competition next week. Many thanks to the Stuartholme families who volunteered to host a student from one of our Sister Schools.
God bless and take care,
