Ethical greeting cards

As part of our Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) ethical Christmas gift ideas campaign, we have signed up to have a school account with the Terrace Timor Network (TTN) and their Kolega Cards campaign.

TTN would like to invite you to help change lives in Timor this Christmas and to join thousands of students who will be taking part in ‘2 days of work’ by buying hand crafted greeting card packs.

For every pack of artisan designed, Timorese hand crafted greeting cards purchased – 2 days of work is provided for women in the remote mountains of Timor.

“Kolega” means “friend” in the Timorese language. The Kolega cards program has been running now for 10 years, providing life changing work for women in the remote mountains of East Timor. Over this time, the quality of the cards has become reliably high. Each card includes an information sheet, that describes the card’s artwork in the context of a story of Timor. As each of these cards passes through our hands – we become part of this story.

If you would like to purchase a pack of 8 cards for $25, please go to and click on the Christmas Card pack. Add the number of packs you would like and then click on the ‘Add to Cart’ tab. Then click on the ‘View Cart’ tab at the top of the page.

When you are on the ‘View Cart’ page, please enter Stuartholme’s code in the Coupon Code tab. The code is:  SHS2016.

The cards will be delivered to the school on 15 of November and will be ready for distribution on the two days following that.

Thank you,

Sarah Daff, Leader of Mission
