Drop Off/Pick Up Zone safety
As part of our internal road upgrade in 2015, Stuartholme worked with the Traffic Engineers to determine the safest location of our drop off/pick up zones.
The zones have been designed to allow cars to safely pull off the road so your daughter can enter or exit the car safely. As an extra precaution, it is always safer if students can exit or enter the car from the side closest to the curb. It is also safer if bags are not placed in the boot or hatch of the car, to avoid the need for students to enter the ‘danger’ zone between vehicles.
Dropping off or picking up your daughter from other locations, such as the roundabout or tennis courts, does not offer the same level of safety.
We also remind parents and visitors that the maximum speed limit on any roads within the school is 20 km/h and 10 km/h in shared zones – This applies at all times (24 hours per day, 7 days per week).
Finally, we ask students to always use the crossings provided.
Thank you for your support in this matter.
