Open Days

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) – Sunday 31 July.

The University of Queensland (UQ) (St Lucia campus) – Sunday 7 August.

 

James Cook University (JCU) applications now available

To apply for the Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery, Dental Surgery, Veterinary Science, or Physiotherapy in 2017 you are required to submit a completed application form directly to JCU by 30 September. You also need to apply for these courses through QTAC. Click here for more information.

 

Bond University Scholarships closing 31 July 2016

Full fee first year scholarships available at Endeavour College of Natural Health

Endeavour College will cover the cost of tuition fees (for specified degrees) for the first year of study in 2017 for up to five successful school leaver applicants. For more information on bachelor degrees included in the scholarship program and the application process click here.

QUT Information article: Assumed Knowledge: What does it mean?

QUT has assumed (as opposed to pre-requisite) knowledge for most courses (Education courses for example do have pre-requisites). While you can be admitted into a course without having studied the assumed subjects, the QUT curriculum assumes that you do have this knowledge. Read more here.

 

QTAC applications open next week – 2 August

QTAC applications open on 2 August. If you are a Year 12 student, you can create an online QTAC account now and use a non-Stuartholme email address. Like QTAC on Facebook to keep abreast of key dates.

 

Study university while in Year 12

Year 11 students can apply to study a university subject while in Year 12. Applications open for the Start QUT and UQ Enhanced Studies Program on 1 August. Applicants must meet eligibility criteria, e.g. achieving a B average and being capable of studying a university subject on top of your Year 12 workload. Please make an appointment to see Mrs Wallace (through Mrs Hurley) if you are interested in applying.
